Dolphin Watch Cruise

Come aboard Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center’s American Star for a beautiful start to your day by venturing out the Cape May Inlet and down the beach along the Cape May beachfront.  You will discover Cape May from a brand new vantage point, the Atlantic Ocean • from Poverty Beach to Congress Hall to the Cape May Lighthouse and everything in between.  Our naturalist will point out Cape May Harbor landmarks • Cape May points of interest • Cape May historical facts; just a side note, one of our naturalists is from one of Cape May’s original families! Most importantly, as we encounter our local wildlife, both bird and marine, our experienced naturalists will identify and impart comprehensive and informative facts with an emphasis on conservation throughout the cruise. The Cape May Dolphin & Bird cruise has a touch tank on board with creatures from our regional habitat and a marine debris station for hands-on learning.

As a member of Whale SENSE, a voluntary program which trains all of our captains and naturalists on responsible marine mammal viewing techniques, you can be sure the American Star sets the example for all other vessels on the water. As with all of our cruises, you can always rest assured with Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center’s Marine Mammal Guarantee. In the event of no Marine Mammal sightings, including whales or dolphins, you will receive a free return trip because we value your experience with us and want you to witness all that our Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay ecosystem has to offer.
