Internship Opportunities
The Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center offers a research and education internship to undergraduates and recent graduates in the fields of marine biology, environmental science and other related fields. We have partnered with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) and Whale SENSE out of Plymouth, Massachusetts since 2011 and have expanded our research program with our New Jersey Non Profit; Whale and Dolphin Research Center of Cape May. Professional marine biologists and captains advise our interns for data collection, independent projects and passenger education on whale and dolphin watches.

Intern tasks include:
- Photographing marine mammals on whale and dolphin watching trips
- GPS/Data collection and processing in Excel
- Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin fin matching and analyzing
- Leading a touch tank, whale baleen and marine debris presentation
- Maintenance of collected local species tanks
- Educating passengers
- Contributing to our research blog and creating an independent project
Marine Science Education Outreach The Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center is committed to marine environmental education and conservation.
